James 5:11, "Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."

Considered one of the oldest books in the Bible, Job reveals a man in affliction. Persecuted by the enemy of our souls.

As a roaring lion, the devil walks about the earth seeking who he can devour and all that Job loved, all that he possessed, Satan destroyed in moment of time. Yet Job's faith in God brought him through, what some believe to be, a seven year affliction.

With patience, Job waited until God moved on his behalf and blessed the remainder of the days of his  life more than the beginning.

Job 19:23-26, "Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God."

Through the words of Job we see a God Who sees all that we are going through. Job brings us to the realization that the enemy of our soul, the serpent of old called Satan and the devil, can do no more than God will allow. The book unveils the truth that God's  plans are to prosper us, not to harm us; plans that give us hope and a future.

The words of Job reveal God as our Savior Redeemer Who, from the foundations of the earth, has destroyed the works of the devil and can bring us to a place where His glory is revealed in and through our lives.
