II Corinthians 10:4-6, "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

Before his third journey, Paul sent another letter to the church at Corinth admonishing them not to take his words as being harsh but for their edification.
Somewhat different from his first letter, the II Corinthians epistle gives us a greater revelation of Paul the man as well as Paul the apostle. Apologizing as a man but proving his authority as an apostle through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Paul once again puts the Corinthians in remembrance of who they are in Christ, while admonishing them to fulfill that which was lacking in their obligation to the church and the body of Christ.

II Corinthians 3:17-18, "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD."

The words of II Corinthians focuses on the hope of the church, the revelation of the glory of Christ revealed in each believer.
Through Paul's words in II Corinthians the purpose of the church is unveiled, 'a city set on a hill, the light of the world,' revealing the light of God to a world which lies in darkness. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. It is only through the Spirit of Christ that the church can fulfill it's mission and obedience to God, walking not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit in all godliness and holiness.
