The book of Hebrews, written in approximately 70 A.D., brings us fully into the understanding of the New Covenant established by God.
From it's wording many believe the author to have been Paul although, as in most of his epistles, his name is not mentioned. However, it's words tell us that the author was imprisoned in Italy and had a relationship with Timothy, who was sent to deliver the letter to the Jewish believers.

If ever a book were written connecting the Jew with the new covenant Hebrews is that book. Contained in it's words is a conviction of the purpose for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ Who suffered the shame and death of the cross for all our sins. Not only for the Jew but for the Gentile, and, by faith, we receive the promise of eternal life.
Through the book of Hebrews we see Jesus, the mediator of a better covenant, Who died once for all mankind so that each believer might have a more perfect way of entering into a relationship with God the Father.
Jesus, our High Priest forever after the order of Melchisedec, Who is set down at the right hand of God, and all things have been put under His feet. Truly the revelation of Jesus as God with us, Emmanuel, is revealed through the words of Hebrews.
