Study Guide
Part I of the mid-term exam will consist of twenty of the following fill-in-the-blank term questions, worth two points each (40 points total).

Part II. In one short paragraph, fully identify and describe two of the following terms, especially highlighting the importance of each.  To save time, your answers may be a series of abbreviated sentences or a list of relevant points, as long as the meaning is clear (15 points each for a total of 30 points possible).

Write on one of the following essay topics, immediately following your last identification answer.  Be sure to use a standard essay format, by opening your composition with a concise thesis statement, arguments in support of that thesis, and a conclusion that restates your thesis and summarizes the main issues. (30 points each).
