Firm History and Qualifications
HHA Architecture, P.C., formally Hamblin Hattan Architects P.C., AIA, which was established in November of 1983 by M. Leon Hamblin and Kenneth R. Hattan, bringing together over 50 years of design and architectural experience and practice. Over the past 25 years, the firm has maintained its relatively small size and focus on a limited number of clients. Our goal has been to provide a quality service that in turn results in return clientele.
Currently HHA is one Architect with three committed consulting contract Architects. This team has been operating together for as many as 12 years.
HHA Architecture, P.C. is currently only providing services for Bandon Dunes Golf Resort as needed.Some of our more recent clients are JOS Properties, McMenamin Pubs and Breweries, Trails End Golf Center and Bandon Dunes Resort.
Our background includes new facilities, additions, remodeling, renovation, and restoration work. Some of our work is shown or described herein.

Kenneth R. Hattan
HHA Architecture, P.C., President
Mr. Hattan provides project management, project planning, coordination, program review, design, document preparation and construction observations. He has over 35 years experience in all kinds of projects. His experience extends from multi-housing/residential to complex public buildings. A few project completed under the direction of Mr. Hattan include: Renovations of the Cowlitz County Administration Building, remodeling and additions to the Primate House at Washington Park Zoo, two six story elderly housing complexes for the Housing Authority of Portland, 50,000 sf Kruse Way office complex and 432 affordable housing units in 5 separate projects located in Oregon and Washington. He recently completed McKee’s Pub, The Grove Cottages, and multiple support facilities at Bandon Dunes Resort and is currently working on a 39 bed Lodge Annex and a Health and Fitness Center for Bandon Dunes Resort. Other projects completed include renovation to the Masonic Lodge's Eastern Star Home into McMenamins Grand Lodge and Yardhouse Dining facilities in Forest Grove, OR, McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, McMenamins Kennedy School Lodging and Dining facility, Imbrie Hall and Rock Creek Tavern rebuild. Recreational projects include a recent completion of a new roller-blade hockey/soccer facility in Beaverton and Trails End Golf facility in Oregon City.
