Are you concerned about the Skyrocketing Cost of Living and Our Government’s Reckless Spending?

HEALTHY ECONOMY?

The 1919 to 1930 era included the “roaring twenties.” Notice the sharp decline in the per person debt from $263 to $132 – almost cut the debt in half in 11 years. (Could it be that the income tax was raised to pay off the debt – I need help here.)

The debt reduction rate over the 11 years including 1920 through 1930; possibly a partial cause for the great depression was a hefty 4.7% per year average surplus used to pay down the debt.

We may have attempted to pay off the debt too fast – that, in combination with the huge WW1 debt led to the great depression. The economy has never been the same since.

Early in the FDR administration – gold was taken from our people and removed from our currency; during the LBJ administration silver was removed from our currency early in the Nixon administration Nixon ended the international gold standard.

With no precious metal backing of our money – its value is now fully controlled by the congress.

I believe that these actions were taken to continue the practice of deficit spending.

Since 1930 our economy has experience six years with balanced budgets by our federal government; 1947, 1948, 1951, 1956, 1957 and 1960.

The purchasing power of the dollar has been falling since 1940. See chart.

We have tried high taxes – that tends to choke business – and weaken the economy. We have tried “tax relief” while continuing the spending binge. The debt continues its near vertical climb.

I'm concerned and I'm asking for your help to make a difference!
