Hebron United Church of Christ rests on the crest of a hill at the
junction of Hebron Church Road and Old Highway 52 in Midway Township of
North Carolina. Hebron UCC celebrates its 152th Anniversary in 2008!

Hebron's sanctuary is warm and inviting. The Chancel is
adorned with flowers on special occasions. Easter heralds the
resurrection of our Lord as Easter Lilies sing the great news.
Above our altar is a lighted stained glass window
depicting Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Our pastor, David Carter, is a warm, compassionate, and loving man
of God. On this Advent Sunday, joy shines forth in this man the Lord
has
called to tell of the overwhelming love of Christ and the
comforting presence of the Holy Spirit! Pastor Dave has great
trust and enthusiasm for his mission and faces each day with a smile.

Each one finds their own way to draw near to God and worship. Easter
Sunrise Service celebrates the resurrection of Christ. As our early
worship service quietly moves
to the cemetery, we take part in the "Sonrise" and the morning
meditation,
the birds sing and the darkened skies reveal the light of day.

Pastor Carter brings the message of God's salvation! He seeks
God's wisdom and shares the truth of God's unconditional
love to all mankind. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only
Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have
eternal
life " John 3:16 NRSV.

Shown above are three new members of the Hebron Consistory. The
Consistory is the ruling body of Hebron UCC. Standing in front
from left to right is LeeAnn Triplett, Bonnie Fansler, and Frank
Willard. Jamie Anderson is the fourth new member, and absent on
this installation service date. Standing behind are outgoing
Consistory members, (left to right) Melodie Triplett, C. Mike Davis,
Jean Largen, and Brenda Long.

Hebron's choir sings under the able direction of director and organist,
Cathy
Motsinger. Cathy gladly
welcomes
new voices into the choir. Music is an important part of every worship
service! Each fifth Sunday has addition musical selections often
with
special musicians or vocal groups taking part in our service of
worship. Seen above is the trio, "Mercy's Well," lifting the spirits of
the congregation as they entertained with their delightful harmony.

Celebrating with a Love feast has become a tradition at Hebron. These
dieners close the service during the Advent Season. Courtney
Carter, front right, sings the solo part of "Morning Star."

Hebron Women's Fellowship is at the heart of service at Hebron United
Church of Christ. Jesus calls us to serve and love one another. These
women
know the meaning of service. Bonnie and Joan prepare Valentine Gift
Bags
for shut-ins. This group gathers the second Thursday of each month.

Several ladies from the Women's Fellowship went out to eat at Cherries
Cafe in Clemmons to celebrate an anniversary of Hebron UCC
Women's Fellowship, such good food and fine company is a joy!

Shown above are families of the three wonderful men that were
recognized by the Women's Fellowship by certificates of recognition
from the Dr. James E. Lightbourne Scholarship Fund. Top left of
these three photos shows the family of Donald C. Hines, to the right of
this family is Fred Livengood, and the bottom photos features the
family of Raymond Leonard. Joan Craven,
president of the Women's Fellowship, stands to the bottom right in this
last photo.

Shown above is Hebron Women's Fellowship president, Joan Craven,
presenting beautiful roses to Ashley Triplett. Ashley was
recently named as one of the scholarship recipients of the Dr. James E.
Lightbourne Scholarship Fund. Ashley was one of only four 2008
recipients of scholarships from the Dr. James E. Lightbourne
Scholarship Fund. One other member, Kala White, of Hebron UCC who
was absent on this date also received a scholarship.

Hebron's Board of Christian Education presented mothers with small
hanging baskets for Mother's Day. Shown above on the left is
Janet Dunkelberger, and on the right is Frances Atkins displaying their
gifts.

How about a cold treat on a hot Sunday afternoon? Mitchell
Mazur on the front left is serving whipped cream to top some delicious
desserts during an ice cream social. Homemade ice
cream and a huge variety of desserts to complement the frozen treats
were available in abundance! After all were served, an afternoon
of great entertainment was spooned out to the great group assembled!
