Jim and Amy's Auto
Graveyard
In the last two decades a number of professional cars
have passed thru our hands before we decided on Oldsmobiles
as the focus of our collection. Some we regret letting go
while others we're still not really certain why we bought in
the first place. The following are pictures of a few of
them. Unfortunately we didn't take photographs of them
all.

1988 Eureka Cadillac
Hearse
This beautiful front wheel
drive hearse served as Jim's daily driver as well as filling
in for the occasional removal or funeral service. We traded
it into C. W.
Coach in November 2002. It is
available there now at a reasonable price

1971 Miller-Meteor Cadillac
Lifeliner
We bought this Miller-Meteor
Hightop, intending to restore it, but then our Oldsmobile
ambulance came along. Finding a new home for it proved to be
more difficult than we expected. We even tried giving it
away, to no avail. Ultimately C. W.
Coach took it off our hands. We
understand it's gone to a good home now.

1977 Superior Cadillac Hearse
and 1977 Miller-Meteor Cadillac 3-way Hearse
When his Mother's dog died Jim
transported the body to the crematory in this power 3-way.
The funeral director watched in amazement as the departed
pet was motored out the door, asking "Who's dog is this
?".

1969 S&S Park Row Cadillac
Combination
Jim purchased this car from
the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio. Apparently
we were in for a bad winter that year since the car is
wearing a surplus Soviet army hat.

|
1970 Miller-Meteor Cadillac
Hearse
This is the first of many cars
that we have bought from C. W.
Coach. Jim and friends are
pictured here putting tags on the car for the trip back from
Cincinnati.

|
1964 Eureka Cadillac 3-way
Hearse
Jim picked this car up at the
Airstream plant in Piqua, Ohio where it was being used to
make measurements and patterns for their funeral
bus.

|
1972 Superior Cadillac
Combination
Jim bought this car in Lima,
Ohio for $500 and used it to teach his girlfriend at the
time how to drive.

|
1969 Miller-Meteor Cadillac
Combination
This was Jim's first hearse
which he purchased from Burgess Coach in Loudenville, Ohio
for $450 on July 2, 1980. Much to Amy's great amusement, Jim
is pictured above with his coach in the fall of
1980.
