1972 C/B Oldsmobile
Combination
This 1972 C/B Oldsmobile Combination was owned by the
Cotner Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Plagued for years
with cooling systems problems, the funeral home disconnected
the A/C and used the coach for removals. 98,000 miles later
the funeral home traded in the car. We purchased the car
from C.W. Coach for $1,050. We reconnected the A/C and
removed the Federal speaker mounted behind the grill, which
blocked the radiator and caused most of the cooling
problems.

The car had gone through a
number of color schemes over the years. When restoration
began we chose to change it to this beautiful shade of 1972
Oldsmobile Royal Blue.

The car was originally
Oldsmobile Sequoia Green. When the funeral home discontinued
their ambulance service they repainted the car Oldsmobile
Antique Pewter to make it appear more "hearsely".

In 1996 we left our wedding in
this car with lights and sirens running at full
tilt.

The Olds didn't come equipped
with a factory hood ornament, so Amy decided to fill in for
that option.

interior. The Washington cot was used by the Egan-Ryan
Funeral Home for their ambulance service until the early
1970's.
