My specialty is User Centered Design, to help people understand how to use and to do things. For products, this helps people experience more enjoyment using them, with less frustration, and less need for support.
For companies, a high quality user experience will contribute to your bottom line.
I am currently employed full-time for a software design consultancy, Electronic Ink, located in Philadelphia.
I am lead inventor on a recently issued patent (May, 2003) that combines technology with known principles of cognition, perception, and narrative to create a new form of consumer camcorder. The patent was covered in the New York Times on August 25, 2003..
I am not looking for employment, but the members of the team that developed the camcorder work are looking for opportunities to continue this work now that we have identifiable intellectual property (with three more patents pending) and the technology the work depends on is now affordable.
