All my cutlery is hand made from high carbon steels 1080 , 01 , 5160 and occasionally file steel. Most of my blades I hand forge.
After quenching the blades at critical temperature they are tempered. Bowies, swords and larger knives receive a differential tempering to maximize flexibility and edge holding . After tempering, the blades are checked for flexibility . The blades are tempered to be able to sharpen on an oil stone.
Handle materials include : bone , horn , stag , antler , ebony ,curly maple , osage , rosewood and other hardwoods.
Material for guards , bolsters , ferrules , caps etc. include: silver , brass , nickel silver , copper and steel.
The majority of the cutlery I make is 17th , 18th and 19th century patterns ie. : trade knives , bowies ,Scottish patterns along with a variety of early pattern belt knives , folders & Hunting Swords.
I prefer to make knives on speculation but I also welcome custom work to your specification or I can help you with the design.
My goal is to provide you with the cutlery you have always wanted. I also know how hard you’ve worked for the money to purchase a piece of handmade cutlery and I will work just as hard to provide you with that item to your satisfaction

Money orders are appreciated if possible. Shipping will be delayed until personal checks clear bank.
There is a $25 fee for any returned checks
Any prices shown do not include shipping or Tennessee sales tax if applicable.
