Underwater Photography and Videography

Richard  has been photographing underwater since 1974.  His passion for underwater imagery expanded to video in 1983.  This passion has lead him “off the beaten path” in his search of unique and exotic underwater images. 

Richard is also concerned about the preservation of the underwater environment and founded EPIC.  EPIC, the Environmentally aware Photographic Image Competition, rewards underwater photographers for exhibiting environmentally sound photographic practices.  He has established a scholarship for students pursuing advanced degrees in Marine Studies with the proceeds from the competition.

As Director of The Monterey Shootout and The Digital Shootout his environmental values are reaching even larger audiences.
