SHADOW'S TEN LAWS OF PROPERTY | 1. If I like it, it's mine. |
2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine. |
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine. |
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine. |
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way. |
6. If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine. |
7. If it just looks like mine, it's mine. |
8. If I saw it first, it's mine. |
9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it becomes mine. |
10. If it's broken, it's yours. |
Here's an update on Shadow
As of Thursday December 30, 1999, he is now on the Cherokee
Indian Reservation, Cherokee, NC. According to BJ, his new owner, he has 4 acres
of fenced land himself, and shortly after Shadow adjusts, he will have access
to 30 acres of RESERVATION land to romp and play. We will try to keep you updated on Shadow's new life.
Hi Guys: My daughter-in-law Jenny, got a hold of Charlie (Clayton, GA) to find out what has happened to BJ and Shadow lately. Charlie, an Indian friend of BJ's, told Jenny what has been going on, and I guess there is a good reason why we have not heard from BJ.
First of all, when BJ came and got Shadow from us, they made it about 50 miles from here, and Shadow told BJ he wanted to stay with him in cab of pickup, so BJ stopped, put him up front with him. He traveled with BJ with his head in BJ's lap.
They stopped off in Clayton to visit Charlie and his wife and everyone up there fell in love with him, especially Charlie's wife. Like always, knowing the "wolf", he loved women. Well, when BJ got to Cherokee, they put Shadow in the "tool shed" while they went to Wal-Mart and got a chain for him. When they got back, the shed door was totally destroyed, nothing left. No Shadow. It was getting dark, so they started looking all over the reservation for him and could not find him. They finally "gave up" for the night (BJ was devastated). They went into his daughters house and here Shadow was on the couch with one of BJ's grandchildren, asleep under a blanket. BJ has two grandchildren (boys) and it seems Shadow has bonded with the oldest 11 year old boy. Shadow sleeps with the boy every night. Shadow is staying at his daughters house because of the boy. They do everything together.
Shadow also has another very important job. He is presently out with BJ touring the good old United States. Seems BJ is some important BIG WIG with the Cherokee Indian Tribe and tours the US at this time of the year, and Shadow is along emphasizing the Indian way of life among other tribes and the "wolf". What better "tool" to have with him.
Well guys, we spoiled the "wolf" the best we knew how. I guess his new home is doing a equally "better" job. Now that I know what is life us, I am so glad that he has found a home he will be able to accomplish his goal.
Charlie told Jenny to contact BJ's daughter from time to time to see how Shadow is doing, during evening hours, as she works days at the Council Office.
I hope this makes your day, as it has mine. Tom, I guess I just wanted to hear him, and I did. When you don't know, your imagination can play "tricks" on you. Thanks for looking out for him during your shift.
