Gurdy Run's Fiber Flock

Our flock of sheep started with a few individuals of Corridale/Romedale descent that were either moorit or carriers of that rare brown gene. They have nice soft fleeces with deep rich color and lots of crimp on a 3" to 5" staple - perfect for hand spinning. Over the years we have added some Lincoln to the flock and now can offer a range of fleece types and colors from the very fine Moorit Corriedale crosses to the lustrous grey Lincolns
Spring brings lambs, bunnies, and newly shorn fleeces. We also can provide washed and carded wool in dyed or natural colors and in blends with angora from our French Angora Rabbits or natural colored mohair form our Angora goats. Click on the sales barn below for price and availability of lambs and rabbits. Check out the mill store for fibers and yarns.

We started with the French Angora, attracted to their size and colors, but as with the sheep we have bred looking at fiber more than pedigree and now have crosses that give us soft fiber that blends so well and makes such soft irresistible yarns.
