Welcome to the Tennessee Aerobic Bioreactor Website. This site has been constructed to provide data and information regarding the on-going research project in Williamson County, Tennessee.
The project was initiated in the summer of 1999 by the Williamson County Government to provide an economical solution for remediation of existing and potential impacts to surface water and groundwater from pre-subtitle D waste fill areas at the Williamson County Landfill. In addition the retrofitting of the Subtitle D cell provides a method to accelerate stabilization of the waste and potentially minimize and possibly eliminate the post-closure monitoring care period.
