LOSSING LOGBOOK
November, 2009
Dear Family and Friends,
In Proverbs 3:5,6 we are instructed, "Trust in the
Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He
shall direct thy paths." Often we think of those
words as referring to our long-range plans, but they
also refer to our day to day walk. As we daily trust in
Him, God will direct our paths and lead us in His will.
Recently we initiated communication with the mission
office for our clearance to return to Perú. The reply
was not what we had hoped for..we learned that we need
to have at least $600 more a month in financial support,
not the $200 we had thought. We had made the mistake of
looking at our present outgo of funds, instead of what
the present outgo should be.
Now we are working at setting up more meetings in
churches. At the present we do not have a target date,
though we would love to be back by the end of January,
so that we can be at the pastors camp and the missionary
camp. The Bible college will have graduation at the end
of November, and then summer begins. The new school year
will begin March 8, 2010.
It isn't easy to get meetings at the present time, with
the economy being as it is. Many pastors have answered
Jim's emails with apologies for not being able to have
us come, due to their financial situations. We know,
though, that God is able! And He will bring us back to
Perú in His perfect timing.
An item of praise is that Alethia just saw the surgeon
last week, and he said all is fine, and she does not
need to go back to see him. Since the surgery, she no
longer has the pain and other problems that she had
before. Everyone else in the family is fine.
Occasionally someone will send personal correspondence
for us to the mission address. Please, from now on, be
sure to send all personal letters and greeting cards to
us at our Riverside, CA address listed below. That way
all mail will reach us quicker and not cause more work
for the staff of the mission office. Thank you!
Please pray with us 1) as we continue to make contacts
for meetings in churches; 2) for our need of increased
support so that we can return to Perú; 3) for the Lord
to use us for His glory during this furlough; and 4) for
our children as they seek God's will for their futures.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving,
Jim and Alethia Lossing and family

Finally, brethren, pray for us,
that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be
glorified, even as it is with you. 2 Thessalonians
