The Danbury Gravestone Project is offering to locate the grave(s) of your ancestors who are buried in Danbury. The fees are modest, and are intended to cover our cost of obtaining the information, plus a small profit to help pay for supplies the Project needs.
If you supply us with your ancestor's name and date of death, we will search our database for a match. If we are able to find your ancestor, we will take a glossy color photograph of the gravestone. If the date of death is after 1836, we will also search the files of the Danbury Times for an obituary and supply you with a copy of same. (Please note that copies of the Danbury Times before 1837 are not available).
The fee is $10.00 for the first name requested, and $5.00 for each additional name that is requested at the same time. If we are unable to locate your ancestor's gravesite, your fee will be returned.
You may make your request by submitting via email the name and date of death for your ancestor to the Project Coordinator
If your ancestor's name is in our database, you will be notified by return email. You must then send a written request, along with payment, to the Project before any further information is obtained.
Alternately, you may fax a request to the Project at (203) 792-0454.
