Misc. Notes
Funeral notice:
The village of Mt. Albion lost one of its most respected inhabitants. He arrived here with his Father, the late Mr. William Grassie, and other members of the Family from Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1847. The Father and Sons started in the business of Blacksmithing. Charles (the second son) succeeded his business, and has been here for half a century. He was a Presbyterian in religion, and a Liberal in Politics.

The large procession of friends and neighbors, who followed his remains to its last place in the old Kirk–Yard, testified, more strongly than any words to the esteem in which he was held in the neighborhood.

He leaves a widow and seven children to mourn his loss. The Rev. D. H. Fletcher, D.D. officiated at the funeral services, at the house and grave.
