My Autobiography

September 15, 1998

"Hi, my name is Doris Elaine Gowen. I got my name from my Great Grandma Elaine and other Great Grandma Doris. I was born in Biloxi, MS on April 2^nd 1986. I was 8 lbs., 6 oz. I have 2 sisters and one brother. Oliver, He's 9, Rosey, she's 11, and Heidi, she's 4. Oliver likes to watch football, baseball, and watch NWO. Oliver loves Cal Ripken too. Rosey likes rollerskating and swimming. Heidi loves The Little Mermaid and Cinderella. My mom's name is Michelle. She does not work. My dad's name is Darren. He is a Federal Probation Administrator.

I have lived in many different places including California, three different places in Mississippi. The best place I have lived is Puckett, Mississippi because I had a lot of friends there and when I left it was really hard!! We lived there for about 5 or 6 years! I like to collect trinket boxes and I like to listen to music, I play sports, hang out, and get on-line.

Things I really don't like are: When I have to go to clinic and get admitted and spend the weekend there!! It is soo boring! But, sometimes my friends are there to keep me company, I also do not like to go outside when it's hot.

I have set goals for myself they are as follows: be cancer free by the end of next year, become a Neuro Surgeon, And get honor roll or straight A's. I think I am going to do pretty well this year. My teachers and Doctors are very nice to me and I am looking forward to these goals to become reality for me.

I think the one word that would describe me is........ outgoing, because I am looking forward to things happening and I try to help others as much as I can!! I also think I am outgoing because I set goals for myself and I absolutely ALWAYS NEVER GIVE UP!!!! I am willing to fight for my rights and to keep going no matter what happens. I stand up for myself and work hard!
