Is it safe to get out of bed?

Camel bells fade
as dreamtime Bedouins drift
across the shifting sands,
night's caravan vanishes
as morning light appears
and birds begin to sing.
Mole, it's safe to burrow forth
from the tunnel of bedsheets
and blankets ,to push aside
the brutalized pillow, then
place your feet on the carpet
and slalom off to the bathroom
past a tangled heap of bluejeans,
Reeboks and white cotton socks;
pizza crusts, micro-brew empties,
e-mail printouts, a vase of dead red
flowers, CD albums by Guns 'n Roses
and Nirvana, a grinning photo
of the Dalai Lama, the keys
to your imaginary Harley
on top of the Chinese dictionary.
Gorilla, you yawn and scratch
your balls genderfully,
and beat upon your chest
to the fractal hiphop of space/time.
Fastforwarded back to
the material plane, you pick up
your skateboard and fly down
Complexity's sidewalks.
