Clint Massey graduated from Presbyterian College in 1970 with a BS degree. After working for several years as a surgical assistant in Atlanta, GA, he entered medical school and received his MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1978. He was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical fraternity, while at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Massey completed six years of neurosurgery training at the Medical College of Georgia. In addition to training in diagnosis and treatment of nervous system diseases he also participated in research on brain plasticity (the reorganization of the brain after injury).

After completing his residency in neurological surgery, Dr. Massey entered private practice in Augusta, GA in 1984. He has developed special expertise in reconstructive spinal surgery as well as treatment of brain tumors and aneurysm surgery. Dr. Massey strives at all times to treat the patient and family with the same consideration he would demand from those caring for a member of his own family.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Massey is also board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Massey married Carolyn Spaduzzi in 1970 and they have two lovely daughters. He enjoys sailing, model railroading, gardening, and is beginning to enjoy woodworking.
