These pictures are from Thingvellir. Thingvellir
is notable for many things. For one, it is where
the first parliment(the oldest in the world) in
Iceland would meet each year. It is also where
the European and North American plates are separating.

Thingvellir is Iceland's national shrine and has several
interesting sights like the "Drowning Pool" where various
criminals were executed as well as this old church
and a "money chasm"(an ancient wishing well).
