I can remember the
Christmases I've seen, By the things that most people know. With fresh pine tree smells, Songs like Jingle Bells, Going for sleigh rides in the snow. The streets of the city became a crystal charm, And the dime store Santa Claus appeared, And with the children's delight at his upcoming flight The world waited as the hour grew near. Then the day would arrive, Much too early for most, And the spirit of giving ran high. And the new train would roar on the living room floor And the air filled with hot pumpkin pie.
