Bobby Reveals "Ten Ways To Turn My Love-Lite On!"

Regardless of the other things I'm going to confess here in SPEC today on how you can turn my love-lite on - the most important clue of all those I give to you is - be yourself!  When I meet you, keep in mind that - above all else - I want to get to know the real YOU!  The one and only thing that instantly turns me off when I meet a girl (or anyone, for that matter) is when I discover the person is a phony.  I can respect, like and even fall in love with a girl whose ideas and interests are different from mine.  I guess it's something very true that opposites to attract.   However, it must be real - not put on, cos when I meet a girl who is trying to be someone or something she's not - I want nothing to do with her!  To my way of thinking, I feel that I won't really ever get to know that girl, and in my heart I know I'll never completely trust her.  And to me - trust and love go hand-in-hand.

I love people and I get along with all different kinds of personalities.  I wouldn't want to change a girl.  After all, I don't want someone to try and change me.  I am what I am, and I could never live a lie.  No one really can!   That's why I dig being with a girl who isn't afraid to be herself.  When I find a girl like this - it turns my love-lite on!

To me, music is one of the biggest "turn-ons" in the whole wide world!   I know it puts me in a trance - and I hope it does the same to you!  Sure, there are many kinds of music - and when I hear an up-beat number it makes me want to get right out there on the dance floor and go wild.  But then there's what I call "love" music - those beautiful ballads I listen to and suddenly find myself in a romantic mood.  Sometimes I don't even have to hear any words - the mood of the music says it all!  So music and my love-lite have a "direct line" to each other!

Another thing that puts me under a romantic spell is sitting by a warm, glowing fireplace.  In fact, one of the reasons I chose my new home in the San Fernando Valley - after looking at many, many houses - was simply because it came equipped with a real, working fireplace.  When I saw that - I was hooked!  I just couldn't resist making that house my new home!!  So I hope you can dig sitting before a glowing fire with me!

I've mentioned to you many times that I'm a homebody at heart.  Although I sometimes go out on the town, I really dig spending a quiet evening at home with a date.   My love-lite really clicks "on" every time a girl offers to prepare me a home-cooked meal.  I immediately think to myself, "This is my kind of girl", and it doesn't really matter if she's not a great cook - the fact that she's willing to try means a lot to me.  And after all that I've already confessed - you can imagine how groovy I'd feel if a girl surprised me with a dinner by candlelight!!

THINGS YOU INSTINCTIVELY DO - Many times a girl (maybe she was you!) has turned my love-lite on without even knowing it.  I spend hours reading the letters you send me, and though I can't always answer them - they mean a great deal to me.  You tell me so many things - as though we are long-times friends - and although we may never have met, I know and understand you - just as I believe you know and understand a lot about the real me!

Very often you send me poems - sometimes you wrote them yourself and other times you copied them from a book because they touched you in a special way or reminded you of us.   Well, when I read these poems - I feel extra close to you, and I want you to know that I appreciate them and care about you with all my heart.

Other times you send me cards - not for any special occasion, just to let me know you're thinking about me.  Whether your card to me is funny or serious, I can tell that you picked it out just for me.  I save all of these mementos - the letters, the poems and the cards - because to me they are the nicest gifts a person could receive.   They come from your heart to mine!

You know, it's strange for me to be confessing all the things that turn my love-lite on, because I feel that you already know.  In fact, I know you do!  You may not be aware of it, but you instinctively have done so many things to turn me on!  In addition to all of the lovely things you send me - you've let me know you care in so many other ways!  So, remember - your remembering me helps keep my love-lite turned on!

One of the greatest thrills I experience is when I'm performing for you.  It wouldn't be half as rewarding or half as much fun if you weren't in the audience cheering me on.  When I am performing, I love all the things you do - the posters you make and hold up for me to read, the smile you smile when I look in your direction, the peace greeting you flash in return for the one I send to you, the calling out of my name, the screaming and the excitement and, yes - I even understand it when you just sit quietly because you're a little shy.

So all of the things you always do - do turn my love-lite on.  In other words - I sincerely love you!
