Thanks to the efforts of the Dickerson Family - Will & Nancy, and son Michael and friend Kristin,
and assisted by Marvin McFalls, a gathering of Renaults took place in the environs of Lancaster, Ohio
on June 26th, 1999. Participants met at a park in central Lancaster, and then followed a scenic
route through the Hocking Hills south of Lancaster to Rock House State Park.
A good time was had by all, with food and drink prepared by our hosts, who grilled brats over charcoal despite the heat. Renault stories were told, parts bought, sold, and bartered, and lots of elbows rubbed. Later in the afternoon, the attending Renaults were arranged in an approximation of a triangle, the oldest vehicles at the head of the pack. Ken Gladyszewski's 4CV was on the point, followed by, from left to right, Stephen Grover's silver R16TA, Marvin McFalls' deep cherry burgundy Caravelle, and Dave DaVaney's yellow R12. |

Ken Gladyszewski's 4CV was the "Grande Dame" of the day, being the oldest, and only rear-engine Renault sedan in
attendance. Ken had driven it down that morning from his home near Cleveland.

Stephen Grover, of Mount Brydges, Ontario, brought his rather luxurious Renault 16TA.

Alpines in attendance. In the foreground are two A310s - the blue beauty of Brad Stevens, and the handsome
burgundy example driven down from Boston by Mike Deak. At far left is the red Alpine of Dave Hazen, from the Detroit area.

My apologies to those whose cars don't appear. I didn't take enough pictures. If anyone has some shots
that they'd like to have me add to this page, please let me know.
Thanks to Ray Dietz, Sam Stuckey, and Jonathan Burnette, each of whom took home a piece of me. But I'm
quite pleased with all of the R10 stuff I picked up.
Although I have no picture, Jonathan Burnette's Renault deserves a special mention. Driving all the way up
to Ohio from Austin, Texas, Jonathan traveled in his LeSharo diesel powered Fuego.
