Giff Kucsma's Military Service
In January of 1961, about 6 months out of high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army.   In those days, it was just a matter of time until you were drafted.   Since I had little prospect of continued formal education, it seemed that the thing to do was to volunteer before they came after me.
