Cabot Egan caught Jim Bilisoly outside one of his preferred haunts, Erich's Kajüte in Kassel.   Contrary to common belief, a "Kajüte" was not an animal, but the German term for a ship's cabin.

In this photo, taken somewhere in downtown Kassel, one of the old types of Strassenbahn can be seen.

The bier to drink in those days was Herkules.   This is a shot of the Herkules Brauerei in Kassel at night.

In the early '60s American families were evolving into two-car households.  But in Germany people still had to live frugally. Mom, Dad, and two kids - all on three wheels.

Up above the city, at Wilhelmshöhe, Jim Bilisoly, Bill Simpson, and Phil Laemmle do some sightseeing.
