SOMERVILLE, NJ - Jeffrey Gene Kucsma, 59, died Wednesday, December 20, 2000 at Somerset Medical Center.
Jeff, as he is known to all, was the proprietor, with his wife, Jan, of "The Big Little Railroad Shop", one of the area's premier sources for model railroading supplies and a gathering place for enthusiasts of the hobby.
Born in Woodbridge, Jeff attended local schools there prior to becoming a National Merit Scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, graduating with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1962.
Jeff spent 20 years in Marketing and Sales with Union Carbide Corporation nationwide. After a few years as a private consultant, he opened his model railroading business in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Lush Kucsma of Westfield, his mother, Marjorie of Bridgewater, his daughters, Kristin of Madison and Donna of Roselle Park, and his brothers, Kurt and Giff.
A memorial service was held Saturday, January 13th, 2001 at
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Avenue (Route 28), Somerville, New Jersey.
