Author's Biographical Sketch
A career Air Force officer, Lt. General George G. Loving served 37 years on active duty. A fighter pilot in WW II, he qualified as a fighter ace. During the Korean War, he commanded a fighter-bomber squadron & fought in 5 major campaigns, flying 113 combat missions In subsequent years, he served as a test pilot, instructor, advisor to the Republic of China’s air force, and in many high-level assignments: Commander, Sixth Allied Tactical Air Force, Commander, Fifth Air Force, US Forces Japan.
