The Si570 Project

Project Description

The Si570 is being used as the frequency generator in the C-F-R project. Initially I am using the WB6DHW Si570 board cradled in carrier made from half a RadioShack board. The carrier organizes the pin interface to be a simple 8 pins in line - liske the DDS-60.

Project Hardware Interfaces

1. +5 reference from BBB (similar to load ??????)
2. SCL (Clock)
3. SDA (Data)
4. N/A
5. Ground
6. RF out
7. RF out (does the Si570 have to have 2 RF outs?????)
8. V++ in

Because the Si570 is being powered from the Arduino's 5v, I tied pins 1 and 8 together on the breadboard. As you can see the WB6DHW board is mostly SMT. Most of that is resistors and capacitors. We need to redesing the board with through hole construction for easier assembly.
