On May 25, 1998, Leonard Rains (Uncle Len to you kids) Raney, Jr. cameto visit the writer. He told me the way his father got his middle name.It seems James Samuel and Lula Anne Raney just knew their son would besomeone famous. So they picked the name of one of the wealthiest men intown as Leonard's middle name.
