Surnames in my children's paternal Family Tree
The Raneys came from Ireland to North Carolina and then to Tennessee.
The Cheffers and Reginiers were French Canadian.
My daughter, Teresa, is in possession of her Grandmother Hazel Cheffer Raney's bible which gave us a lot of information. I also received copies of biographies from Biographical Record of Kankakee County published in 1893 from Stacey Larson of Illinois. Hazel's son also helped tremendously. Clifton Weldy's grand niece furnished some information about the Weldy family. I'm taking this way to express my appreciation to them.
