The German-American Society of Tulsa, for several years, has had a Kinderdeutsch group for children starting at age four and advancing into pre-teen.
Kinderdeutsch activities are centered around learning German words and phrases together with songs and dances.
The activity is held twice a year for eight weeks starting in February and again in September.  The group is open to children of the GAST Membership and the general public who wish to have their children become involved in learning about German traditions
The Kinderdeutsch group performs at several GAST functions throughout the year presenting songs and dances that they have learned during their classes.

The German-American Society of Tulsa, in mid 2004, created a Youth  Group consisting of High School students from the Tulsa metro area who were enrolled in the German Language curriculum at their respective schools.  The Youth Group meets monthly at the  Society's GAST Center for showings of German language films with English subtitles,  good food and Gemütlichkeit.  Student membership in this group currently numbers well over 300 with monthly attendance at GAST sponsored events of 100 or more.
Additionally, the Students receive a Student Membership Card which enables them to obtain discounts for food and entertainment at various  Tulsa Metro businesses for the Membership year which begins each September.
Many of the Students indicate, at the time of Membership enrollment, an interest in volunteering at GAST public events including Tulsa Oktoberfest & the GAST Germanfest.  Participation in GAST musical groups is also an option for the Students.
