WIWG Show

"Chair with a Flare" in Arizona desert ironwood, Claro black walnut and African bubinga; one of the two wood art pieces that I plan to display at this year’s Whidbey Island Woodworkers Guild Show... (image by Michael Stadler)

September 5 - September 13, 2009 - 6th Annual Whidbey Island Woodworker Guild Show ‘Woodpalooza’, daily 11 am - 6 pm, Bayview, WA. As a participant since the beginning, of course I'll be exhibiting again! I’ve created an art chair ‘Chair with a Flare’ from stunning Arizona desert ironwood, Claro black walnut and African bubinga and a long hall table from a magnificent slab of natural-edged Oregon black walnut with American black walnut and a trace of African bubinga for wedges! During the past three years 3 of the 6 pieces displayed have sold during the Show, so I have to do better this year! I hope that you come to see some of the finest wood artists' work from the Island. Whidbey Island is truly blessed to have so many creative and talented wood artists - the best in the USA! Artist Reception Friday, September 4, 6 pm - 9 pm by invitation only (contact me for an invitation to this free and fun chance to mingle with the artists).

Opening Reception Friday, November 6, 6 pm - 9 pm. Visit La Conner Arts Alive for details. Note: dates are tentative.
