The most exciting thing that has happened to us is that we have moved to a new house. We have almost a whole acre of yard, half of it fenced in. Our backyard is bound by woods with a brook running through it. We love taking walks to the water with Daddy. There are always so many new and interesting smells. Deer, and other wildlife, often come by for a visit.
Emma likes to stick her tongue in the brook. Brook water tastes so much better than tap water.
Tara enjoys surveying her new domain. Her patrol area is significantly larger than before. It is a huge responsibility for such a little girl, but she has confidence in her abilities and is up to the challenge.
We really enjoy our new surroundings. It's so relaxing to sit under the trees, smell the fresh air, and take in the sounds of the babbling brook.
Mommy's bird feeders attract a lot of squirrels. Tara likes to perch on the back of the couch and stand watch in the back window. When Mr. Squirrel approaches our back deck, vigilant Tara is there to alert Mommy and Daddy. Emma's arthritic back legs keep her from fully participating in the chase, but she still enjoys the smell of the hunt. We often chase Mr. Squirrel up trees.
After Mr. Squirrel flees up a tree, Emma must scan the forest canopy. Mr. Squirrel must come down sooner or later.
There were many fallen trees in our new yard. We had to help Grandpa cut up logs for the fireplace. (Tara with Grandpa) Emma & Tara Home Page Emma Puppy Pictures Tara Puppy Pictures Screendoor & Ramp Cushing's Disease Picture Archive Emma & Tara's Guestbook |
