Our names are Emma Peel & Tara King. We are West Highland White Terriers, otherwise known as Westies. We are named after television characters, played by Diana Rigg and Linda Thorson, from the classic 1960's British show, The Avengers. Our Daddy says that Westies are the most beautiful and smartest breed of dogs. Don't you agree? Of course you do!!! We "hounded" him (even though we are Terriers) constantly over the past three years to make these changes. Many of our friends' pages are updated monthly. One would think that with as many cute pictures that Daddy has of us, he would update our site more often. We want to tell you about many things that have happened to us since the publication of our original Westie web page in 1998. We moved to a new house with a brook and, unfortunately, both of us are being treated for Cushing's Disease (see our page on Cushing's Disease).
Our favorite hobbies include chasing rabbits, squirrels, mice, and wood chucks. Daddy doesn't like it when we bring back a trophy. Here's an action shot of us running and a picture of Mr. Squirrel in Daddy's garden.
Tara enjoys soccer (football to our European friends) and plays the forward position well. Emma plays goalie, and is thrilled by stopping Tara from dribbling. Here's a picture of Tara with her favorite soccer (foot) ball.
Mommy and Daddy are so lucky to have us. We let them share our house with us. They also like to take us on vacation. Here's a picture of us relaxing at Grandma's house. Grandma and Grandpa enjoy our visits. They prepare special gourmet meals for us and play with us for hours.
If you would like to write to us, our email address is mailto:emmatara@yahoo.com. We would like to thank everyone who has sent us email. We enjoy communicating with other Westies and the people who love them. Messages have come in from places as far away as Australia, Denmark, Canada, England, and The Netherlands. We personally answer every email message that we receive.
