EMMA'S PUPPY STORY AS TOLD BY EMMA

My name is Emma Peel Bonnie Lass.  I was born on January 20, 1990.  My father and three of my four grandparents were champion Westies.  The picture above shows my mother and her litter of five.  Can you guess which one is me?  I will give you a hint - I am the only girl.  I was a beautiful puppy, wasn't I?

I first met my Mommy and Daddy when I was five weeks old.  They fell in love with me immediately, but of course, how could they resist?  It was very difficult for them to wait three weeks to take me home.  It was a very traumatic time for Mommy and Daddy - they had just lost a sickly little girl that they recently adopted from a puppy mill.  I have never been to a puppy mill.  I was fortunate to be born and raised in loving homes.

Before Tara arrived I wore a red collar.  I gave up the red collar for a purple one.  Purple is a symbol for royalty.  I wasn't very old when I became Queen of the house.  It was a tremendous responsibility for someone my age.

My first favorite toy was a miniature soccer ball.  I could play with it for hours.   Now, my favorite toy is a very rare, red racquetball.  Have you ever seen a red racquetball?   Most racquetballs are blue.  My red racquetball is very valuable.  I have to keep it hidden under the couch.

Before Tara arrived, I often had no one to play with.  Daddy and Mommy would tire after several hours of activity.  Here I am with my toys, wishing someone would play with me.

In this picture I am playing my favorite game with Daddy.  It is called "try to take my ball from me."  It is a variation of the classic game of Fetch.   Here is how the game is played - Daddy throws the ball, I run after it, and then Daddy tries to get the ball back.  [Note:  this is one of those common blue racquetballs.  My valuable red racquetballs are safely hidden.]
