Pestel , a beautiful corner of Haiti, awaits our love and care. Let it be our goal to make it more functionnal, more livable, to restore its natural beauty and establish an outstanding quality of life.

"LA FETE DE LA MER"
All friends and lovers of Pestel, "La Fete de la Mer" on Easter week-end, beginning April 2nd. 1999 was a success. Some of us did not make it there untill the last day, but everyone had a good time.
The following day, we went to the beach near "Anse blanche". The boat ride was fun and so was the beach.
Event Calendar
"La Fete de la Mer" , is usually celebrated every year during the Easter week-end. We expect the usual Entertainment, Sailboat and Canoe races, Arts and Craft, Outdoor plays, a live band, Folkloric Dance competition, etc.

General Information
Pestel, located deep in the Cayemitte lagoon in the south of Haiti, is a little paradise where the deep blue waters meets the skyline. That is perhaps why the children of Pestel have always had a deep attachment to their birthplace and hope one day to return to its rich, red soil where their illustrious ancestors left a legacy of courage, perseverance and past century architecture unfortunately, today in ruins.
