Yes. Pat and I actually know someone that was in Gone With The Wind. This is Phil Trent. A nicer and handsomer gentleman you could never hope to meet. This shot is from the scene where Rhett ridicules all the guys at the bbq for being happy about war being declared.
Phil was in a bunch of B pix in the late thirties and early forties. He started out in the early thirties as a promising juvenile lead, appearing in such pictures as The Power and the Glory with Spencer Tracy and Colleen Moore and Tillie and Gus with WC Fields and Alison Skipworth. At that time he was known by his real name, Clifford Jones. He got out of movies and went on to become a VP at Caswell-Massey. I waited for the bus to NYC with him every morning for a couple of years -
Frank: "You were in Gone With The Wind?"
Phil: "Everybody was in Gone With The Wind."
When I last spoke to him, oh, around 1993 or 4 he was living at the Actors' Home in Englewood, NJ. He died there in January, 2001, at the ripe old age of 93.
By the way, Phil has a Bacon Number of 3.
