It is with deepest regrets that we inform you that John Foss, the founder of Aventuras Andes, and the author of "Chile Whitewater", met with his untimely death as a result of a kayaking accident in the Rio Huallabamba Canyon of the Chachapoyas region of Peru on July 5th, 1998.

Therefore, we are sorry to inform you that all future Aventuras Andes trips are permanently cancelled.

We encourage you to read through this website and if you are interested in John's book, Chile Whitewater, please provide the information requested. You will be notified when the book becomes available. We anticipate publication Fall 2007.
