<body bgcolor="#FF0000"> <h1 align="center"><font color="#FF0000">To view this site, you need a browser that can read frames!</font></h1> <h1 align="center"><font color="#4441BE" face="Times New Roman, Times, serif, Arial"><em>Call This A Modest Shrine To Brave Men; Not Forgotten.</em></font></h1> <p align="LEFT"><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">This site is dedicated to expanding awareness and furthering research into the history of the 43rd Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Army of Tennessee, a civil war unit from north Georgia.</font></p> <p align="LEFT"><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">They were involved in some twenty two engagements. They died by the score of disease and on the battlefield. Some of them marched barefooted in the snow in Kentucky. For some, it was "not uncommon" to stand from midnight till dawn in water above their knees in the trenches at Vicksburg. At the final surrender, by one estimate, only one in six was left.</font></p> <p><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">Yet, you will not find their battle flag in any museum.
