Strawberry Shortcakes               This is a FLORIDA'S Choice Recipe ~ central FL (Plant City ~ Home of the Strawberry Festival) produces the very best, sweetest, juiciest strawberries you'll ever taste!!

*Ingredients*

2 1/4 cups Bisquick Original baking mix
3 tbs. sugar
3 tbs. margarine or butter, melted
2/3 cup milk
Sweetened sliced strawberries  (if their good enough forget the sweetening)
Sweetened whipped cream
 

*Preparation*

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Stir together baking mix, sugar, margarine and milk until soft dough forms.

Drop by 9 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 min. or until golden brown.

Split warm shortcakes, fill with strawberries and whipped cream.  Replace top, and garnish with strawberries and whipped cream on top.
 

Serves:   9 shortcakes (here we go with that odd number again ;-)
