      Pumpkin Spice Bars

      *Ingredients*

      1 pkg spice cake mix
      1 egg
      2 tbs butter or margarine, melted
      1 pkg (8 oz. ) cream cheese, softened
      1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
      1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
      2 eggs
      2 tsp salt
      1 cup chopped pecans

      *Preparation*

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 egg and melted butter; stir until mixture is well blended (mixture will be dry). Press into bottoms of three 8 x 5 x 1-inch aluminum foil pans or one 10 2 x 15 2 -inch jellyroll pan.

      In another large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin, 2 eggs, and salt; beat until mixture is smooth. Pour over crust.

      Sprinkle pecans over filling. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set. Cool in pan on a wire rack 20 minutes; chill. Cut into 1 2 inch bars. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
       

      Serves: Yield about 5 dozen bars
