I currently live in Seattle, Washington, USA. Seattle is famous as the home of Boeing, Microsoft and the Space Needle. The people who live here are fond of coffee, our baseball team, and rain.

A scribe by any other name...
I am a technical writer by trade. My specialty is making high technology subjects easily understood by not-so-technical readers. My training includes an excellent education at the US Naval Academy and, Seattle's own, University of Washington. Here are some examples of my work.

I also design web sites for individuals and small businesses. This page is, of course, an example of my work. Here is another example of a site I designed and wrote, but which was built by someone else. If you are designing web sites, especially a novice designer, I have some tips that will make your site more accessible to a greater number of web "surfers".

Mining the Internet
In addition, I share with others the experience I have accumulated during many years as a manager in small companies. I write and maintain a business management web site. It features articles I have written and links to other excellent resources on the Internet. I also maintain a small consulting practice.
