Firebinder's Half-Life Pages

The Train
Gordon, and a handfull of other survivors, were determined to expose the truth about Black Mesa. They had proof. Undeniable proof. And a national scientific conference in Chicago was just the forum they needed to present it in.

But first they had to evade the G-man and his goons.

Airport security was too tight, they'd be spotted in a second. Besides, some of the stuff they wanted to show just wasn't going to fit in the overhead compartments. No, they needed a lot less scutiny, and a way to transport some large . . . things. The train was the obvious alternative.

Perhaps a little too obvious . . .

Welcome to the "The Train" page.

The Train is a single-player adventure created using Spirit of Half-Life . When complete I expect it to have about six to eight small maps, so it should be fairly quick to play through. The levels are being built such that the train itself is not moving - but scrolling textures and moving scenery outside will provide a very convincing illusion of movement. R_speed considerations will demand that each level be small - just one car in each, but so far it looks like I'll be able to keep wpoly well below 800, and epoly under 10,000. Of course so far, that's just for one level.

I have a few more screenshots, which show off my new and improved seat model:
