Sunny & Vegas - Kit Diary 2006

11/06/06 - Here is our little "Rex" who needs to find a home for himself. He is super sweet, smart and incredibly fun to play with. He loves to eat mice, chicks and quail - along with raw chicken and good quality kibble food too. He is only 15 weeks old as of this update.

09/12/06 - The kits are doing really awesome and they are so freakin' cute! They are starting to leave for their new homes already, so there is one kit missing from the new photos below. Enjoy!

08/30/06 - Gosh! So much has happened since our last update and I apologize greatly for the delay. I have new pictures to share of the kits today and am pleased to say they are doing terrific. All of the kits have wonderful, loving personalities and they are exploring the new world eagerly. This litter is being raised on raw meats and small prey - so far they like the day-old chicks and mice the best, but also eat raw chicken wings & legs. The nutrition and health benefits of feeding "naturally" are too beneficial to ignore. New owners of these kits will be encouraged to continue the natural feeding as well. Even momma Sunny loves the chicks & mice.

08/13/06 - Sunny's kits are now 4 weeks old and continue to do very well. One of the little girls even opened up both eyes today! She apparantly was eager to explore with sight and was the last one in the food dish this evening, I suppose it helps to see what you are eating :O)

08/05/06 - I am sorry for the delay in updates... with two litters in the house now it is more difficult to do this. Sunny's kits are doing well, even though momma got a touch of mastitis. I hope I caught it early enough that we won't have any further problems, but I have been supplementing the kits with a light mush for about 5 days now. Here are some pictures of them enjoying themselves at meal time:

07/30/06 - Today I was able to take a break and do individual photos of the kits. They are growing well, now ranging between 60-74 grams each.

07/29/06 - I snapped a few shots of the kits tonight while I was photographing Donnie's newborns. I will take individual pictures of these kits tommorow, they are getting so dark & big :O) Very nice babies.

07/23/06 - The kits are just over a week old now and growing strong. I am very surprised at the growth level of this litter, considering how many there are to feed. Sunny is doing a wonderful job as momma. I got some individual shots of the babies today, along with a few group pictures. Enjoy!

07/15/06 - Sunny delivered 9 kits early this Saturday morning. I woke at 7am to find her with 6 already born. Sadly, one had died before she could get it cleaned off. Eight healthy squeakers remain!

07/03/06 - Sunny is due in about 2 more weeks, so she went to see Dr. Wagner for her sonogram this evening. We saw lots of movement inside and I have learned not to try to count - but the docs prediction was "alot". We shall see... here are two sonogram pictures taken. The first is not identified and then I the next is the same picture with the kits pointed out (for those that have difficulty identifing the kits :o)
