Sunny & Tippy's Kit Diary 2005
10/09/05 - Finally, some long over-due photos of the two girls still with us. These kits are now just over 9 weeks old. Little Ben and one of the girls have left for their new homes already. One of these girls may be available - the other has been reserved but not chosen yet. Yes, I can tell them apart....sable girl a has more white on her chest :O)

09/03/05 - The kits are 30 days old today, just over 4 weeks. They should start to open their eyes in the next 5-8 days, it will be nice to "meet" them finally. Very good babies they are, even if mom likes to keep them a bit messy. She believes that they should live in the litter box, although, I've recently been able to convince her that the sleepy sack is much more comfy. Enjoy!

08/28/05 - Finally some new pictures of the kits. Momma doesn't like me to take them away for long periods of time, so it has been a challenge to properly photograph them to share. They are growing right on schedule and look to all be sable points at this time.

08/12/05 - The kits are 8 days old today and starting to show more of their color coming in now. They are growing wonderfully and momma is getting better about leaving them for me to weigh and inspect nightly.
Boy - 34 grams

Girl (front leg marked) - 34 grams

Girl (rear leg marked) - 34 grams

Girl (not marked) - 38 grams

All the kits

08/10/05 - There are definitely 3 girls and 1 boy in the litter, they are 6 days old today and momma is taking terrific care of them.
Boy - 24 grams

Girl (front leg marked) - 24 grams

Girl (not marked) - 28 grams

Girl (rear leg marked) - 26 grams

The Kits

08/08/05 - Momma Sunny is a bit protective of her new clan, so we are giving her some space to bond with the kids without disturbing them too much. I have been weighing the kits nightly and they are indeed growing - up to 14, 14, 16 and 17 grams this evening at 3 days old. They all have their white baby coats and have some brown shaded noses. First look appears to be 3 girls and 1 boy. Will post new pictures in a few days.
08/04/05 - Once again, Dr. Wagner was correct with his count of 5 kits - however one was dead by the time I got home. Sunny delivered the kits 3 days early, while I was at work :O( I did not get to share in the blessed event this time, but she did a great job on her own. I only briefly had to save one and he (or she) looks the same as the others now. I will not sex them for a few days, but their birth weights are 8, 8, 10 and 10 grams. Everyone has 4 paws, 20 toes, 1 tail and I saw only pink or shaded noses. :O)

07/26/05 - Our very first sonogram pictures! We have been getting our girls scanned for a while now, but this is the first time we have pictures to share (we will from now on as well). It is somewhat difficult to make them out, but if you look closely towards the top of the picture, you will see 2 kits in the first picture and one each in the remaining pictures. We saw a total of 5-6 kits, she is due in 11 days! :O) ENJOY!!
