Donnie & Memphis' Kit Diary 2005
03/25/05 - 8 weeks, 5 days old now and only two of the kits remain at home. "Medium nose boy" has found a home in MA and left earlier in the week and "Chocolate Point boy", now "FFP's Loki-Motion" has settled into his new home with Barb in Pittsburgh. The "dark nose boy", now "FFP's Toby" will be going to his home with the Hoover Family very soon and my girl "FFP's Midnight in Madison" is of course, staying with us. Here are new pictures of Toby & Madison taken this morning.
Madison (sable girl) - weighs 1lb 1/8oz (460 grams)

Toby (sable boy w/dark nose) - weighs 1lb 7oz (652 grams)

03/16/05 - Just one picture to share today. This is the medium nose boy snarfing down some hamburger :O)

03/11/05 - 47 days old. Sadly the kits caught a virus and became ill for a while. Now that they are on antibiotics and are being fed by hand (they won't eat on their own), they are gaining weight again and catching back up to "normal" weights.

Sable boy with dark nose - weighs 15oz (442 grams)

Sable boy with medium nose - weighs 1lb 1/8oz (466 grams)

03/02/05 - 38 days old, the kits haven't changed much, so I have only taken a few misc shots while they were playing in their baby pen.

02/27/05 - Today the kits are 5 weeks old and they have all opened their eyes and started to explore the big world. I can't even begin to describe how cute they are...

I tried, tried and tried to get the babies to pose but they just wouldn't cooperate. Please try to picture them all lined up hanging out of the back of the beet-l-bed car. :O)

02/04/05 - 12 days old. The babies haven't changed much, but they are just so darn cute, I can't help but take pictures :O)

02/02/05 - 10 days old already and they have at least tripled in size since birth. Today they weighed almost 2oz each. I am fairly certain that there are 3 boys and 1 girl in the litter, all but one boy have some degree of black nose.

01/29/05 - The kits are 6 days old here, hopefully you can see their white coats are starting to get grey and they have black on their noses! How darling. My first impression is 3 boys & 1 girl..but I'm never right this early on! LOL

01/26/05 - I snapped some new pictures of the kits this morning. They are 4 days old now and doing wonderfully :O)

01/24/05 - Here are some pictures of Donnie's kits, 2 days old. They still weigh under an ounce but are gaining.

01/23/05 - Once again, my Albino princess is the first of my jills to give birth this year. Donnie has given birth to 4 squeakers, between 3am and 7am. All four appear to have dark eyes, so NO albinos. I won't try to sex them for a while, I like to disturb mom & kits as little as possible for the first few days. But all appear healthy and of good newborn size.
