Donnie & Powder's Kit Diary 2004
05/08/04 - All the kits have left home now. :o( It is strange not to see more than 1 set of red eyes from the cage. Momma Donnie is so far ok without her little ones. I took some pictures of the last girl to leave home today.
Sherri & David's girl - (marked on rear, right leg) - weighs 1lb 3oz!
05/04/04 - Only two of the 'bino kids are still at home. They are just over 8 weeks old and should be leaving this week for their new homes. They are almost as big as mom!

04/24/04 - My little white kittens are getting ready to leave home :o( I will miss their little red eyes and bright white coats...they really are starting to get sweet, I will miss them.

04/18/04 - These babies are eating machines! LOL All they do is eat, sleep & play. We are working on no-bite with a few of the kits, but everyone is pretty calm & well behaved for the most part. The girls are all marked now, a different leg for each girl to make it easier to tell them apart.
Erin's girl (marked on rear, left leg) - weighs 11 1/4 oz.
Jill (marked on front, left leg) - weighs 9 1/2 oz.
Jill (marked on rear, right leg) - weighs 10 3/8 oz.
Kathy's girl (marked on front, right leg) - weighs 11 3/4 oz!
Barb's boy (not marked at all :o) - weighs 11 oz.
04/14/04 - Finally new pictures of the babies! They will be six weeks old in just a few days and they are so adorable. So far they are pretty well behaved, they even use the litter pan :o) The girls weigh between 8.5oz and 9.5oz, the boy weighs 9.5oz. One of the girls is as big as him! LOL

04/09/04 - The babies are all growed up! At 5 weeks old now, they have opened their eyes while I was away. They are doing terrific - they love to eat & play!
03/29/04 - At 24 days old, the 'bino kids have started to eat "mush" today, and they took to it excitedly! Mom was very cooperative and shared a little with them.
03/23/04 - Donnie's babies are so freakin' cute, it's so wonderful to have them around. Very sweet girls and boy!
03/22/04 - Wow have they grown! At 17 days old they are white squeaking sausages! Donnie is a terrific momma and is obviously feeding them well. All five kids have been promised to new homes now, and they are definitely 4 girls and a boy :o)
03/13/04 - The babies are just over a week old now and they are growing big & beautiful as expected. They weigh approximately 50 grams each, compared to about 10g at birth! I believe there are 4 females & 1 male. Already 3 of them have been promised to new homes :o)
03/05/04 - Donnie has given birth, SURPRISE! We didn't know she was pregnant! OOPS - she was put with a vasectomized male, who apparantly wasn't quite ready and now we have unplanned babies. To make matters worse, they share a common grandfather as mom & dad are 1/2 siblings. This wasn't my doing...LOL - Scarlett did the breeding before I brought Donnie home. The babies are doing well and we only lost one. Five are surviving, and all five are albinos!
