AMC WORLDWIDE Vol I, no. 7 (April, 1958), page 16:

Besides hearing a featured speech by General Rawlings, AMC Commander, those attending the Air Force Association (Utah chapter) Air Power Symposium at Salt Lake City late in March will see a Utah beauty reigning as queen of the Air Power Ball. Her title: "Miss Missile."*

Miss Missile will be chosen in a statewide AFA contest which will judge candidates from AFROTC organizations, major airlines, local AFA squadrons, and other air-minded Utah groups. To publicize its part in the contest, Ogden AMA made a good start by using the picture of Janet Greenhaigh ("Miss Hill AFB of 1957"). She is shown here striking a pose with a Bomarc, one of the missiles for which Ogden AMA is prime.

Rules for the judges are refreshingly forthright. Miss Missile will be chosen for her beauty of face and figure. Any resemblance to talent will be purely coincidental.
